You can use your own certificate by following these instructions. Once you have the certificate generation working with certbot you can follow the instructions below under Manual Configuration to configure OoklaServer to use the certificate files. If you are unable to get automatic provisioning working but still want to use LetsEncrypt for a free certificate you can do so using your own account in combination with a tool from the EFF called cerbot. Note: This automated process only begins after the server has been registered and reviewed by Ookla Not using custom cert option in the properties file (this negates Let’s Encrypt option) Outbound traffic over port 443 and 80 allowed This process is designed to be hands-off and should work without any configuration required if your server: If your server does not have a certificate specified manually in OoklaServer.properties we will attempt to automatically provision a certificate. With OoklaServer version 2.6 and above we have implemented an automated TLS certificate provisioning system using Let's Encrypt.
